The sad, tragic truth of the abuse cycle is this: Abuser
hits victim. Victim flees. Victim returns. Repeat.
It is an unfortunate fact that people who have been the
victims of abuse often go back to their abusers.
As we reported last week, Rihanna and Chris Brown were planning
to be publicly reunited at the 2012 MTV VMAs, but I don’t think anyone was
prepared for this.
Rihanna pecked Chris Brown on the lips at the ceremony.
The appearance of the couple at the awards show was the
latest in a long string of events that were orchestrated to get the public used
to seeing them together.
The event before the VMAs was Rihanna basically declaring
Chris Brown as the love of her life in an interview with Oprah.
I hope Rihanna comes to her senses and leaves this
relationship before it’s too late.
